I don't mind my arms too much (though maybe I should, lol) but I am worried about my back looking fat and spilling out of my gown! I don't want to do any back-specific workouts though because I am worried I will just become broad in the back.. yuck.

Do tricept workouts (I used between 5-8 lb weights only)!!! I saw a big difference in my arms just from doing these for a few weeks.

No prob I didn't do a lot of bicepts but sometimes I would do it, I just kept it to smaller weights that way the muscle got leaner instead of bulkier. Just keep doing tricept repetitions - I gotta get back to it

I hate my arms but I am starting to notice the difference that my workouts are making. SWIMMING and PILATES! These both make long and lean muscle rather than bulky muscles!

This is the video I try to do 3-4 times a week now:

p90x, ladies!!! Tony is in love with push-ups and there are a great amount of other arm exercises that are simple and work. I've never had triceps before (or at least noticed them) and after just the first phase I noticed a big difference. And I promise it won't make you bulky (that was my worry!), if you use smaller weights or bands you'll tone up.

OMG! I feel your pain. I just went to try on my dress today and I was thinking the exact same thing. What can we do to make our arms better looking?

I'm worried about this too! I feel like you can work out your arms, but how the hell do you work out your back? I think I'm wearing my hair down to cover it!

Re: Hidding your Arms?

They have machines at the gym that work your back!
I get a free session with a trainer at my gym so I am going to take them up on it and ask specifically what I can do to fix these problem areas, ie: arms, back fat, etc

I also started doing tricep workouts yesterday!!! I used 7.5lb weights!!!!!
Hopefully I will see results before my 1st fitting!!

Re: Hidding your Arms?

I HATE my arms! They were designed to get BIG, not long lean and slender. I didn't really do much for them before the wedding, I just tried to remember not to smoosh them against my sides. That makes them look big. Always keep a space between you arms and body and they will look fine!

This! I use 8lb weights for my triceps, and 4lbs weights for my deltoids (starting to see 'the cut'). Arms are the one area I am self-conscious about for my dress. But I am starting to notice the difference! We will see at my first fitting in a month
