Is anyone doing a combo of high and low centerpieces? Originally I wanted to do all high but now I'm thinking I might mix in some low to save $$$$$$.. Does anyone have pics of high and low CPs set up together at a wedding???
THANKS!

Re: High and low CPs
SO many people do this. I don't have any pictures, but it really looks great. It adds some variety into the room, and I think it is a great and easy way to save some money.

Re: High and low CPs
We are doing this, not so much to save $$$$ (although this is always a smart idea) but b/c we like the look of it. I am a former event planner and I always appreciated how rooms looked w/highs & lows so that the eye flows around the room.

Re: High and low CPs
We are only having 11 tables, so I thought it was kinda pointless to do half and half....I love the look when there are more tables, KWIM?
I am doing all tall CPs and I got a great price from Burtons.

I am so turned off by how expensive flowers are...it's making me so upset So now I'm trying to think of ways to bring down the cost.

Why dont you touch base w/ SoinLoveRwe2
I believe that she had silk flowers @ her wedding and they look beautiful from her review. Maybe thats an option for you!

If I end up having more people than anticipating coming to the wedding and thus requiring more tables, I will definitely be doing all low because IMHO the cost of flowers is truly ridiculous

You're not kidding....and the Royalton (my RH) makes you use two of the most expensive florists on LI!!! I am so upset about this. I knew this signing the contract but didn't think it would be this bad

I'm doing it, I think. It'll save money, and my florist said it's great to give depth to the room. Besides I need over 20 CP's, so to do all high would be

Re: High and low CPs
Definatly speak to a few different florists....Bc the peice i am looking at i have been quoted from $125 all the way up to $175 for the high... And that is a huge difference when you times that by approx. 15 tables or so.
My girlfriends husband worked in a florist years and years ago and this is one vendor that i would say has the most leg room. They really do over charge you for flowers. She recently got married and when booking her florist she stood her ground, and left. And about a week or so later the florist called them back with some wiggle room. So if you have the time now, def. def. def. call around and play the game.

We're doing the half and half because it's saving money and our florist said it really looks great when they're all set up in the room. I'm excited, I think it's going to look great!

Re: High and low CPs
I think it all depends on the shape/style of your room and what kind of tables you have. I have oval tables, so I think I'm going to be doing one high and two low on EACH table I guess I'll figure that out when we actually meet with a florist, we have a tight budget.
