are there any places on long island to have a high tea?my sister was thinking of this for my shower and she lives out of state.

It's not in LI, but if you decide to check out NYC places, look into Lady Mendl's Tea Salon. It's in Gramercy and it's such a great place for a shower. OF course, I'm slightly biased because I had my shower there But it's in a Manhattan brownstone with a fireplace and everything. Oh, and the waiters are pretty cute

my best friend had a high tea shower! it was very nice; it was at the plaza in the city; but i'm sure you could call local inns or hotels.

I've heard that the Garden City Hotel has a great one but they book up months in advance.

If you are having a big group for a shower in a separate room or something, I would think you could go wherever you wanted and work out a special menu? Maybe?

There is a tea party catering service somewhere. They used it for my shower. Let me see if I can find it.
