What package did everyone choose who are using Vinny from High Voltage. I was always set on having an MC, but Vinny truly made me comfortable saying that we dont need one.

I don't think you need one. Vinny was the first vendor I booked. I always liked him because he's honest and doesn't try to sell you what you don't need.
I have the utmost confidence that Vinny is going to make my reception great!!! He really knows what he is doing... 16 years in the biz.
As for one of my other vendors... I so wish I could change at this point

Re: High Voltage
Davids bride---we have a few of the same vendors!!
I think we are just going to use Vinny. We LOVED him when we met him, and no other person would be so honest as to say we dont need to spend the extra money!

i was at a wedding that vinny did and in my opinion, he didn't get the guests up and dancing. don't get me wrong, he played great music but the guests were sitting. i feel its good to have an mc

I'm going to have an MC not because I don't think Vinny wouldn't do agreat job but because I know my friends and family and they all may need some encouraging.

I think it depends upon your crowd. Some dj's could play the best music in the world but some families (especially the men) are not into dancing... even at weddings. I think you have to know your crowd... only so much can be blamed on the dj. If they are playing good, accessible (50's, 60's, 70's) music than not the dj's fault.

Re: High Voltage
We are not getting an MC because my crowd is a dancing crowd...I have total confidence that Vinny will do an awesome job doing the introductions of the parents, bridal party, etc...In my own opinion, people will dance if they want to dance regardless of if there is an MC or not.

FH and I met with Vinny. he's very nice and definitely has a lot of experience. but we met with someone else who was recommended to us by a friend and hired him instead.
