High Voltage Sounds

Hi, I recently posted a question asking for input regarding DJ's, and a lot of you recommended High Voltage (Vinny, particularly). I am going to make an appointment to meet with him, but I was wondering if anyone can tell me...can you request from him (or any other company) to see a video of him at work? His price seems really reasonable and I want to make sure he is the kind of DJ we want. Thanks!!!

Re: High Voltage Sounds

hmmmmmmmmm....i booked dj vinny but just went solely on the recommendations of the brides on this site that have used him...

you should just ask him if he has any video available...i'm sure he has to have something!

good luck!

Re: High Voltage Sounds

I have heard so many good things about Vinny too on these boards....I am nervous to book because he seems too good to be true (price and the feedback from everyone). Were you nervous to book?

Re: High Voltage Sounds

not at all!! the reason why his fees are so low in comparison is because there's no overhead. in big dj companies, there is other fees associated with having the company, paying the djs in the company etc. etc.

he works out of his home so he doesn't deal with that. just talk to him, ask him whatever questions you have! he doesn't pressure, and he doesn't try to sell. he just tells you what he can offer you can you can decide from there!!

Re: High Voltage Sounds

FH and I booked with Vinny the first time we met him. He has tapes you can view of him djing. We watched one. He didn't pressure us or try to sell us anything and he is willing to do whatever you want. Any theme you want any songs you want or don't want. Light shows he has it all. :)

I booked Vinny based on recommendations, but I did see a video of him while I was there, before I booked him. Ask him. He'll show you.

Re: High Voltage Sounds

I never asked for one. He did say that the reason he never does those expo things is because it depends on the type of wedding the things he plays. I can undersatand that. For instance, you wouldn't want to chose him if you are thinking of an all classical wedding music list and he is there playing dance music. And visa versa. So it is better for him to get a feel for what you want and what your guests seem to be perceptive to.

Re: High Voltage Sounds

I've heard HIgh Voltage is good, but if you want a comparison, you may want to visit BPN Entertainment We booked with them. Brian is a great lMC. My parents went to a wedding with them as DJ and they said they were fabulous!
