today was the first day of the new semester. i'm taking a criminal law class. my professor used to be a prosecutor in the DA's office. this is a conversation that happened in class this afternoon --
student: when did you leave the DA's office? professor: i left in 2005. student: hmm, you look really familiar. professor: i'm sorry, i don't recognize you. student: ohhh, i remember now - you prosecuted me 6 years ago!
