Can anyone suggest a good salon to get a haircut and highlights in NYC or Staten Island.

Re: Highlights in NYC
around how much are you looking to spend? I know great people in the city but they can be pretty expensive...also especially since youre asking for a NYC stylist, i would put this out there bc the city can be pretty pricey for highlights

Re: Highlights in NYC
My guy, Wolf, does an amazing job. And he's reasonable. A haircut and highlights is $200. He does both. He's an artist, he's just amazing. Most people have no idea that I get highlights--of course, my hair does highlight naturally, but I don't go out in the sun anymore, so I have to get it done. He puts three colors in my hair, perfectly toned to me, although he's always willing to improvise if I want to go lighter or darker. He's on 10th st in the Village, his salon is called the Greywolf Salon. They're a bit basic, not a slick operation, but they use Goldwell and Aveda, which is the best stuff. He's a sweet, funny guy, and I always have a great time when I go to his salon, all the people who work there are a lot of fun. FM me if you want details.
And, BTW, he's coming in on his day off two weeks before my wedding so he can concentrate on giving me the best haircut and highlights of my life. That way he doesn't have to worry about finishing because he has another appointment, he can take as long as he wants. I told him not to but he insisted. Like I said, he's a great guy.

I use Eva but all the colorists are really good because they use her highlighting technique. No matter who you use there you can't go wrong honestly.

I use Donna. They actually paint on highlights so it looks so much more natural and there is no line when they start to grow out! It is expensive but completely worth it! Donna also cuts my hair, she is great.
