Highly Confused

Hello all 2013 Brides and congrats!! My FI and I just got engaged Christmas morning and beginning the search! In same ways we have an upper hand as my FI is a DJ so we know alot of ppl in the industry...but in other ways it is a pain..we would really like to find one that he hasnt worked at so it would make it that much more special to him...thats prob not going to happen since he has prob been to most of them....we have seen....

Giorgios (LOVE new outside area but they are pretty pricey and dont know if dance floor is big enough?)

Vineyards...again maybe too small

Bellport C.C....no valet and not crazy about how men golfing can be right there with you and your guests??

Venetian...Love view...should expand outdoor area

Woodbury CC...wasnt thrilled

Cresthollow CC...too many parties going on at once

Chateau Lemar...outside wasnt that nice...funky shapped ballroom

Chateau Briand...LOve how big it is but right on busy road? cemenet walls blocking you in? IDK

and of course we visited a few mansions which are too $$$

I THINK we are looking for natural beauty...can holld 240sh?? outdoor cocktail and big dance floor?? I would love to pick bits and pieces from them all and make my own hall but I guess you cant do that huh? :( any other places?? help :/

Re: Highly Confused

Did u look at Landsend? It is absolutely beautiful and I think they can hold that many people. It's right on the water and the pricing is not that bad

I'm not sure how much you're looking to spend, but have you checked out the Woodlands? It's a historical mansion and in November the prices are very reasonable.

Watermill is beautiful. I had a horrible experience with Larkfield, but that was just me. Plus they will be doing construction until (I THINK) July of next year, and when they showed us the mock ups they said it wouldn't look like that.

Westbury Manor was nice & had a peacock and parrots outside for the coktail hour. Plus you can have an oudoor ceremony as well.

I would recommend Bridgeview Yacht Club. They are reasonably priced and the views are amazing, it's right on the water!
