Ok, ladies, please give me the good, bad, and the ugly of these two hotels. Which would you / did you book and why? Shuttles? Price? Suites? After party? Bar? Breakfast?
Just FYI: FH and I want to get out there and look at them, but we live in Brooklyn, so it is difficult to get out there. THANKS!

Re: Hilton Garden Inn (Westbury) Vs. La Quinta
I booked with Hilton Garden Inn Westbury because I felt more comfortable with their shuttle - La Quinta seemed to be charging a lot for the shuttle and they were only going to make 1 trip - HGI Westbury said they would even take 2 vehicles if necessary). I didn't need a bar because my reception won't be ending until 1:00 am. Prices and other amenities were comparable. I also liked the fact that Ellison Ave was less crowded than Glen Cove Rd and went straight up to Jericho Turnpike.

For us, hilton garden was more expensive... la quinta's rate was 159 so thats what we booked,.. the hotel is very clean... has a nice lobby with a lounge area and bar, free food for dinner (like the night we went to visit, it was taco night so we grabbed some food and had a drink while we were there)... there is also free breakfast in the lobby... we got the biggest suite there (i believe) - called the family suite for 209.... FH & I are staying in this the night before and the girls are getting ready in it the day of... its a beautiful room and something like 900 sq feet... huge... the person who we have been working with (tyleen) is a complete doll!!!!!!! oh and as for shuttles, they give a free 1 to and from the hall if 15+ rooms are booked... it only holds 14 pax so you do the math... it doesnt work out.... LOL we dont have enough rooms booked, so we're renting the shuttle for about $100 each way... its only for the bridal party and was a hell of a lot cheaper than limos!!
i didnt look into hilton really so i cant give you a review on that...

Hmmm.... The shuttle only holds 14 people? That is strange. If you have 15+ rooms booked, you'd need a 30 person shuttle.
