hiring a babysitter for reception

i have two nephews that will be 4 yrs old at my wedding. one of them is REALLY wild and doesnt think twice about throwing things at people and i am really worried about what he'll do to my cake. his mother doesnt discipline him and i dont think she'll keep a good eye on him. do you think i should hire someone to watch him and make sure he doesnt go near my cake and keeps him calm to make sure he doesnt throw anything?

I think that is a great idea! My friend who recently got married was in the same situation you are in and they hired a baby sitter to watch her 4 yr old nephew and 2 year old neice and it worked out great!

I thought the same thing!! For me it'd be better not to if that was who I was inviting because I'd wind up in jail by the end of the night for killing him!

In all seriousness though, if you dont' think his mother will control him it may be worth it. Only thing is, if he doesn't listen to his parents do you think he'll listen to some stranger when his parents are sitting right there and not disciplining him?

i was thinking about not inviting kids, but i really want them there and it would cause a lot of drama if i just didnt invite him. all the other kids are very well behaved. i was just thinking the babysitter could keep him entertained that way he wouldnt get bored and start getting crazy.
