When you hire someone to do your ceremony how much do they charge? I wish I had someone i knew personally do this for me but since I am getting married outside and not in a catholic church the priest I wanted said he wasn't allowed to do it unless it was in a church. So now I have to hire someone.

i got quotes ranging from a couple hundred to $600ish... i guess it depends on the officiant and how much work they are putting in to writing your ceremony and how many meetings you have with them...

The officiant I am having is $750. But that is only because he is coming from NJ and we have to pay his travel. It is also a custom designed ceremony.

You can pay as little as $100 for a regular wedding and right on up!

Prices range so much. The first one we saw was cheaper, but it was pretty much a cut and dry ceremony, no religion involved.
Second officiant we met with (and booked) was a little pricier but the quality and time that will be put into the ceremony is well worth the price
