Hiring the first vendor you see

Hiring the first vendor you see

I met with a videographer that FH and I really liked. I had insisted on seeing at least three vendors for each category (my sister's photographer was horrible and she didn't shop around). However, I can't find anybody who comes close to them for the price to even meet with, Would it be so horrible if I did just book the first vendor?

Nope not horrible at all - we had a lot of firsts during our planning...I got the first dress I tried on, first photographer, first videographer, first florist, first RH. Sometimes it just works out like that - follow your instinct

Not bad at all. I did research of reading review prior to the appointments. & I didn't book right on the spot we went home thought about it & then went back to sign!

they are $3500. I have been emailed lower quotes, but anyone who's work is similar is around the same price. It's more than I wanted to spend, but when I watch their work, I cry and I don't even know the people in the video! I just don't want to regret spending the extra money.

Check out Myther Ganibe --- not sure what kind of work you're going for, but his work is beautiful, cinematic, etc. and you can def. get a package for lower than that. If you have second guesses already, I'd look at another one or two videographers to make sure you're 100% on your choice.

I like Myther Ganibe's work, but to get the same package at my first choice, he would actually be more

Did you check out AJ Ingoglia? He was booked for my date, but he does some amazing stuff!

If you REALLY liked the vendor...I see no problem with booking him/her. I did that for a few vendors who i knew in my gut were the right ones for us. Go with your gut!

Nope not horrible. Our photographer and videographer were the first and only vendors we looked at but as soon as we met with them and saw their work, we knew we wanted to use them.

We did that for Photo/ Video (Thomas Paul)
We did that for RH (CLM)
We did that for Limos (camelot)

... and I' sure we did it for other vendors too, I bought the 2nd dress I tried on, 1st dress my Mom saw in me...
