HM Advice (if you plan on snorkling or diving)!!!!!!
DH and I went to Hawaii and LOVED IT!! However we went on a snorkle boat one day and were snorkling and I guess the temp. of the water made my finger shrink.....MY WEDDING BAND FELL OFF AND HIT THE BOTTOM OF THE OCEAN 30 FT. DOWN!!!!!!!!!!! I was hysterical crying while DH swam all the way back to the boat to see if anyone could dive deep. This really sweet Hawaiian guy dove down with no equipment and somehow found it on the bottom!!!!!!! He said I was really lucky because a lot of honeymooners lose them this way and don't find them.
My advice? If you are doing anything on ur HM that involves the ocean LEAVE YOUR RINGS IN YOUR ROOM!!! We did for the rest of the trip!

Thank you for advice. We are actually going to Hawaii in a week. Any suggestions on what to see?

omg!!!! i would have been a mess too! so glad you found them!
another tip for snorkeling -- most often they ask you NOT to wear any sunscreen, oil, or lotion when you snorkel--since it can affect the coral in the water and the fish

We lef them in the room for that exact reason! The water is cold and makes your fingers shrink. I went in once with them on and I was freaking out the whole time.

We left our rings in the safe in the room when we went on excursions. Some times they even made announcements to take off your rings before getting in the water.

That's crazy! Thank goodness the man was able to find the ring for you.
We are taking a cruise to a few caribbean islands and the days I have excursion planned like these, I will be leaving my rings on the boat.
Thanks for the warning.

Here's another tip that I learned - when you scuba dive, your blood gases are affected by the change in pressure. You're not supposed to fly for at least 24 hours (or more, check with your doc) after you dive because all the different altitudes and pressure can cause serious damage to your body if you don't let your blood oxygen, etc readjust. So plan your scuba adventure for early in your HM so you can enjoy it and not worry!!

We learned this too! DH wanted to try scuba diving but the date they had was the day before we left and they said he couldn't fly within 24 hrs.

If I may add one more...if you are wearing jewerly while diving or snorkeling, a fish might think of your jewerly (esp your diamond ring) is a bait...so make sure your wearing nothing sparkle in the water
