i booked out HM flights, what, a week and a half ago for july? i got an email today that our flight home from vancouver has been canceled. they're trying to route me through san fran after i paid for a direct flight. the guy's computer isn't working, so i'm sitting on hold. at first they couldn't even figure out which flight it was.
why even schedule a flight that you're canceling SIX MONTHS IN ADVANCE??? it's clearly not some unforseen set of circumstances. ugh, i hate airlines!

that is complete BS. they need to work out some serious perks for you! maybe an extra night and a direct flight home the following day!

expedia said they'd offer me a coupon to book hotel all the stuff you can usually negotiate when you work directly through the airline is restricted bc of the middle man. they can't even offer me a flight on a different carrier like most airlines will.

it's a united flight 'operated by' air canada and booked through expedia. right now, i'm just fighting for a refund. i love sitting on hold.

We booked our Feb. honeymoon in MAY! In December, Expedia called to say Delta cancelled our flight from JFK to Hawaii. They offered to fly us the day before (our wedding) our 3 days later. It was absolutely horrible. We ended up getting our $$ back and rebooking with US Airways (more $ since 9 months later...) and both Delta & Expedia left us stuck with no options. NEVER AGAIN will I book w/ Expedia, which i have been using for almost 10 years!!!!

wow, i'm glad it worked out! i actually ended up refunding the entire purchase from expedia as well and rebooked our flights directly through the another airline--saving us $260. the only downside is that the expedia charge is going to take 3 months to refund to my credit card but i'm much happier with the price and the carriers. the 3 hours of fighting on the phone was actually worth it
