Re: HM- Anyone going to Aruba...

one of my BMs just got back from the Occidental on Monday night. She said they really enjoyed themselves and the food was good. She said the rooms were comfortable and she would definitely recommend it! Good Luck!!

P.S. We just got back from our honeymoon in Aruba as well - we stayed at the Divi All Inclusive. It was great there too - Occidental is in the High Rise section (a little busier and more crowded) and the Divi is in the low rise section (less busy and less crowded). The beach was practically EMPTY everytime we went. We had a great time and the food was excellent.

If you'd like more info FM me!

I've been to Aruba 4 times stayed at the Hyatt, Radisson, Westin and we stayed at the Occidental last week. I just got home Saturday.

The Occidental was very nice great restaurants, pool area, rooms, etc.

If you decide to go to Aruba and not do an all inclusive I can give you lots of great restaurants on the island to go to.

Good luck.

Re: HM- Anyone going to Aruba...

We stayed there in April for our honeymoon - The place was beautiful and we had an amazing time!

We never had a problem getting a chaise by the pool or on the beach. The room was really nice - but be careful not to leave your sliders open - the condensation from the humidity and a/c makes the tile floor super slippery! (trust me on this one! Ow!) Be careful of 'ocean view' too - while we could see the ocean - we also saw the employee parking lot and the side of the Hyatt.....

The food really wasn't that great at the resort. The casino there is so-so - but the the one at The Radisson next door was awesome.

Aruba is paradise - You will have the best time!
