Well at least PART of our honeymoon is officially booked.
We're doing a cruise in May, 7 nights, Greek Islands and Croatia. I think we got a great deal since Royal Carribean had a special deal for booking today. 50% deposit and $100 onboard. Plus the TA was throwing in an additional $200 onboard.
YAY.
We only booked now because of the deal plus if prices go down, we will get a credit. If they go up, we saved $$$. We still need to book a hotel and flight tho.
We still have to book a trip for after the wedding but we're going to wait a few months since that will be statewide, prices will come down soon (i hope).

that's awesome!!! What TA did you use? We booked a royal caribbean cruise last friday and my TA was going to try and get us the on board credit today but I haven't heard from her yet.

I did all the research and found the TA through a site called cruise compete. It's a bunch of travel agencies basically competing against each other I've had friends use this site pretty successfully. The prices of the cruise are the same everywhere, it's just really about the perks.
We ended up with a place called Cruises N More which is located in Florida. I looked into them on the BBB before actually doing anything so I know they're reputable. We waited until today to book since one of the travel agents I spoke to in the beginning of the week let it 'drop' that they were having a special today.
I think the only way you'd be able to get the promotion is if the TA 'cancel's' and re enters your book.

Yea that's what I'm assuming she would have to do but it's okay cause we have the travel insurance so I'm pretty sure that wouldn't be a problem. .. .though I still haven't heard from her.

Just curious, where are you going and how much are they charging you for the insurance?
