I travel ALOT....and I would like to make a suggestion that I was trying to explain to FH and he understood after time.

Select a honeymoon destination where you can just sit back, relax and enjoy each other.

When I go on vacation...I really make it my priority to explore and walk all over the place....get to everything possible, because chances are I won't be back!......Then you are exhausted....not so much a vacation, because by the time you get back you need another one.

Im dying to go to Italy but I know that if I go, Im going to want to do all of the touristy stuff, and thats not what its all about...its about relaxing from months (years) of planning, worrying if everything is getting done, it should be about the both of you and enjoying yourselves. Laying out on the beach....or wherever...

well FH and i have been dying to go to Italy for the longest time. we are already going to be going to Hawaii in July for Michellecarin's wedding, and are hearts are so set on Italy that we couldnt have it any other way! that is exaclty why we are spending the entire first week in Amalfi coast. it is beautiful and seems very relaxing. we are going to find a 'honeymoon' type hotel and just relax. during the second week we will do a little sight seeing (b/c how could we go all the way to italy and NOT)...i loved learning about italy and it's history all throughout high school. i took latin for 6 years in school and we constantly read about Rome and Pompeii, it is just fascinating to me to actually get to go there and see it for myself. but i know what you are saying. we do not plan on going crazy, which is fine with us. as i said earlier....all the more reason to go back to italy another time. But i do think it is a personal preference. some people probably like being touristy, even if it IS their honeymoon.

that sounds like an amazing honeymoon, i heard the amalfi coast is gorgeous. I like all those things too, seeing things you have learned in school and heard of for so long.

It definitely is personal preference...When FH and i went on our cruise, we only laid out once and for just an hour or two and thats it...were not big into just laying on the beach doing nothing, or laying out anywhere just doing nothing. Everyone looks for different things on their trips and different experiences, definitely do what suits you best.

We went with 12 ppl onour cruise, and we hardly ever saw them, just dinner. We had different interests, they were all about seeing the shows, doing the activities...Fh and i were about waking up whenever we wanted, going to eat then, hanging out at the bar, stay in the casino all day lol, check out the club for a bit, go shopping.

i cant just sit and relax all day lol, ill lose my mind...FH and i do sleep late when we go away, we always miss breakfast...we dont necessarily run around like maniacs, but we do alot of things and go out. I need activities, entertainment and all that. That's why were going to vegas first so we can get it out of our system before tahiti and this way the relaxing trip will seem more appealing.

I know...FH and I went to Paris in Feb, where we got engaged....We were there for 6 days...and there was so much to see that I literally walked the whole city and came home not able to walk ! lol.....I guess Im bias cuz of a recent experience....

But yea I understand people don't travel much so this is a big trip for them.

its not even about not traveling much, for some it is...its about boredom lol...i am a person who gets bored easily...I like to go out and do things, i NEVER watch tv if im alone, it doesnt even get turned on, i dont have any patience to just sit there and watch a movie or a show, with FH i will but ill annoy him half the time talking, or theres times its just like forget it...when i actually sit there and get into a movie FH is impressed lol

I think you cant do one extreme or the other...If you do absolutely nothing you'll get bored, if you are running around all day and have every minute of your day youll exhaust yourself...thats why have time to relax, do things but not overload your day with too many activities.

I know some people who plan out every hour of the day and its one thing after another...Luckily fh and i are alike and we hate that. We do things on our own time at our pace...if we want to lounge all morning and afternoon and go out just at night thats what well do, when we went away not too long ago, we did the opposite, out in the daytime shopping, going out to eat and stuff like that then at night when we got to the hotel we'd stay in all night...just have to pace yourself

We dont know yet, he kinda wants to stay at the bellagio, but were also thinking of mandalay bay, mgm and the palms

yeah well see what were gonna do bc fh has been to vegas about 4-5x and was last there in february and stayed at the MGM, so ill leave that up to him since he knows the hotels well...He does talk very highly of the bellagio and mandalay bay...palms is nice too but at the end of the strip and away from most of the other hotels.

If you guys haven't been to Italy go. I studied abroad there and I fell inlove with it. I am in the same boat as you espo22, my FH is also italian and he really has no desire to go to Italy. I told him I am going back one day whether with or without him for at least 10 days. My heart is still there. I did lots of traveling and lived in Florence, so if you guys do go and have questions about where to go, I may be able to help.

Ok good choices I was at the Venetian in December and it was beautiful
