how many of you used a TA to book your HM? If you didn't do you wish you did? Do you think you got a better deal without one? FH and I are SO indecisive about the HM and were thinking about talking to a TA, but I don't know if its worth it or not. Are they really helpful?

We used one, but then found a better deal on a website ourselves and luckily the TA honored the lower price.
We booked everything ourselves the TA could not offer better prices then we were able to find online.
We went to Liberty Travel. We didn't get a deal or anything, but the woman was very helpful. She helped us pick a resort that fit our needs. I would definatly reccomend seeing a travel agent. It doesnt cost you anything, and it will help if you're indecisive!

We did but we don't know if she got us a better deal than we would have found ourselves. We went to Hawaii so she booked us everywhere and did our itinerary and all that for us which was a big help bec I was so stressed from wedding planning lol...but we used her after that to book a cruise and she didn't get us a better deal than my MIL's TA (prices were the same but hers got us a $100 onboard credit and my TA was only going to give us $25...which meant that she was keeping more of the commission). We ended up booking with my MIL's TA. It also depends on what kind of HM you are looking for...for a cruise the prices will not vary from one TA to another or booking yourself but the onbd credit will...for hotel prices and flights it is better to do your own research so you can compare prices. Also TAs on average charge more than the airlines for flights...from what I have seen TAs are good for organizing your vacays but not for better prices :( HTH!
we used a TA because our trip is complicated w/ two different flights and i didnt want to have to worry about booking everything myself... i went to AAA Travel in Garden City, Tania was my TA she was very helpful!
