Everyone at our hotel was Dutch and I am anti-social. So we made no friends.
Did you make any?

Re: HM friends ?
I made friends with a few dutchMEN on my honeymoon, while dh was off at the stadium watching the games.
I have emails...and have been oh so tempted, but those friends are the wrong (but oh so right) friends to make, especially on your honeymoon.
actually, I was like the UN over there. an ambassador of hotness, if you will.

Re: HM friends ?
I didn't go on a honeymoon. But I used to make friends on my travels. I have great friends who live in Canada that I met and became friends with when I was in college visiting Toronto. I am still friends with an Israeli girl that I met while on vacation in Amsterdam. I also made friends with a guy named Lou when I was in Hawaii... we kept in touch for a while - but it is difficult to remain friends with someone you never see. I don't travel anymore. Kids. Husband. No money. OH WELL!

Re: HM friends ?
We made friends, DH is very sociable!! Turns out June 10th was a very popular date!! But we didn't keep in touch with them.
One couple was from the Midwest, I forget which state but we liked talking to them just to hear their accent. I wonder if they felt the same, aaaah Brooke and Justin.
Then we met a couple who were both anesthesiologists, thought that was pretty weird. Another couple who were celebrating their one year anniversary.
And one older couple who weren't really a couple. We mentioned we were on our HM and then I asked how long they've been together. They looked at each other, laughed, and she said 'Oh, we're not married', he chimed in with 'Why complicate things with marriage?'

Re: HM friends ?
We met a very nice couple from Australia on our hm, but didn't end up staying in touch & we met a couple on their 10th anniversary from NC that we keep in touch w/ through email. They actually may come up here later this summer.

Re: HM friends ?
We met a nice couple also on their HM. They actually called our hotel to see if we wanted to have dinner with them. We never kept in touch with them.
However I have friends that I still keep in touch with from when I backpacked around Europe when I was 20.

Everyone on our tour were all older couples and all I did was puke nonstop from morning til night because of morning sickness. Not a great way to break the ice.
