HM frustration...long

So originally, we were going on our HM in September and FH was adamantly opposed. He was so against it that he wouldn't even discuss where to go. Life changed and we are now able to go right after the wedding. we found a great trip, we just have to book it....now FH wants to go in late august/sept...the week before and of labor day weekend......another thing to note: our daughter starts kindergarten the week of labor day, i don't think i want to be on an island some where the week before without her, relatives want to stay with her for our HM and have made plans to do so in JULY. his reasoning is that we can have 2 saturdays away and he won't have to take 6 days off, only 5. well guess who still has to take the same number off? and we'd get back the day before labor day...he'd be off, i wouldn't. jerk. he also says it's b/c he needs to remind them of his 'review' and doesn't want to ask for 6 days off and then for a review (to determine his raise) on the same day....well so what? they know you're getting married and are anticipating a HM for crying out loud!!! i just think the reasoning is weak....not once was the reason related to the cost of the trip or to make it a less stressful time to go, just that he didn't want to ask for 6 days off. i just feel like htat's weak...it's his fault we are getting married on a sunday and can't leave for a HM until monday (cause all evening flights are booked...only ones available are during our wedding ceremony)....we had a nice saturday wedding planned and he and his parents INSISTED on changing it b/c we needed a bigger room....and NOW it looks like we'll be begging people to fill up the spots b/c while doing the invites, FMIL would say, they won't come, they won't come, they won't come to dozens of couples!!! then, people who would come are NOT coming b/c the date is booked already for their family or get this, his mom's cousin is getting married that weekend as well!!! now pardon the following bridezilla moment BUT, we announced our engagement and wedding last spring. they decided to get married in January....geez. bridezilla moment over.

aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh.

i'll keep repeating the following:

FH will stop being a jerk.
the HM will be awesome
we will go at the wedding and it will rock
fh will stop being a jerk...

I feel better now, I don't want anyone to think I'm sitting at work pouting over this...he just irked me. It's just annoying b/c his only reason was to take one less day off, but he's salaried so it doesn't actually cut into anything and he gets 3 weeks of vacation time, he takes NONE ever.

That seems ridiculous and selfish of him. It's ONE extra day. And can't he see what his raise is, and then say, 'oh, by the way... I need this week off for my HONEYMOON'. What is wrong with him taking 6 days out of 3 weeks off if he never takes a day off? Can't he just put in his day-off request form (that what I did) - and write 'honeymoon' on it? I don't understand why he's being so difficult. This is not something he should be adding stress to for you.
