my travel agent said it is $120 pp but she is going to see if she can find it cheaper
I hate paying for any kind of insurance so i don't think it is worth it just seeing if any of you girls got it

Re: HM Insurance
we got it, it was $89pp.....we took it more bc of the weather since january can be very fickle....also in case we get sick or something, it covers medical expenses....fyi most health insurances only cover you in your resident state and just partial coverage out of state.

my friend got sick in st. marttens and paying out of pocket there is ridiculous so going to the dr there was like $10 and a prescription was like $2 so i am sure it is jsut the same in aruba
but I know you are going to hawaii so you will be pying us costs

Re: HM Insurance
we got it. it covers us if we cant go, or if we need to fly back early or fly out late for any reason. its not just if we get sick..it could be a close family member too.
we are doing a land and sea package, so who knows. we got it just to be safe
its also supposed to cover any medical expenses outside of the usa i *think*
it was 225pp i think

Re: HM Insurance
it covers everything and anything that would happen or could happen on vacation I suggest it so that way nothing comes out of your pocket.

I dont know about HM insurance but we are taking out travel insurace. I am guessing its the same thing but I dont think I am paying that much, I think that since they are calling it HM insurance that they charge more for it. Check it out before you get it.

Re: HM Insurance
Travel Insurance / HM insurance...basically the same thing. They jack up the prices if you tie in wedding to anything...lol.
I am getting insurance b/c anything can happen....freak weather, swine flu or other unpleasantries. I think its worth the peace of mind.

Re: HM Insurance
your travel agents should be telling you about travel insurance when you are booking. it goes for any trip, not just HM's.
ours is like 150pp but she said we can wait and add it on anytime before the trip so i'll decide in a few months

Re: HM Insurance
we got it mainly b/c of it being January and having concerns about the weather.
Ours was $98 pp and our travel agent told us about it, researched it and helped set it up for us.

yea...just a few months ago i was on a business trip in san francisco and got a horrible sinus infection, i went to the doctor and my insurance wouldn't cover anything, i cried to the doctor asking for any meds he could give me....well $300 later i got my meds!

Re: HM Insurance
Its similar to travel insurance. Basically, if something goes wrong with the wedding ( knock on wood) or if your wedding is during huricane season (knock on wood) and your honey moon can't happen... it protects your money from being wasted. Some even include a health insurance if one of you gets really ill on vaca. Its worth the additional $150....
