I have narrowed down our HM to Hawaii or a Tahitian cruise. With both, I have recv'd some great quotes and have to make that final decision. Here is what is offered:
Hawaii-9 days, 3 islands Maui, Kauai(sp?) and Oahu ( we both want to see Pearl harbor). In that order, 4 nites, 3 nites and 2 nites. Maui/Kauai-car rental & Maui-Free breakfast for stay there. Stay at all 3 islands will be at Sheraton Hotel.
Tahitian Cruise-Princess Cruise Line 10 days Papeetee,Tahiti Huahine-1/2 day Rarontonga-1/2 day Raiatea-2 days @ island Bora Bora -2 days @ island Moreaa- 1/2 day Back to Papeetee -Cruise includes food/entertainment.
With all that,Hawaii's cost is less than the cruise. Hawaii also dosent include food. Doing some figures the cruise will be a possible $2k more. I have done a cruise, he has not. Ok, so which one?? FH says cruise,because its Tahiti,most of all Bora Bora. Im not sure since I have not heard much feedback, as a review,age group, how good food is, etc. I feel those are important. Yea, I say Tahiti, Bora Bora too...when will I get that chance again?! I also say Hawaii & $2k less and still a great place.

I would definately do the cruise...I can tell you from being a previous Princess cruiser, you have nothing to worry about food. The food was exceptional & tons of it! When thinking costs, just think, all your meals & then some are already paid for on a cruise & you are only responsible for your drinks & activities...

Im going to with hawaii. The cruise is nice and all, but you only get to spend half a day there. Meanwhile if you go to hawaii, you do as you please and get to enjoy each island for a couple of days.

well, keep in mind with the cruise you still have to pay after its over, tipping, drinks, etc... it adds up quickly. we were conservative (but still had fun) and our tap was $700 on our 7 day HM crusie on princess around the carbieean.
Tahati cruise is an older crowd just to let you know but if I had money laying around and being you said it your self, when else am i going to go...i would pick tahati.
i think kridrey (where is she) had some great reviews from people that took crusies to Tahati..

both places r beautiful, as i have been to both, but to give u a heads up between april-june, its rainy season in tahiti,but whever u choose its better that still being on LI

if the food is not included in hawaii you could easily spend a lot on it, because hawaii is exensive
i would do the cruise because in my opinion you are more likely to go to hawaii in the future than you are to go to tahiti-etc... (at least in my case that would be the case)
both are beautiful places! i love cruises...

Costs might end up being close, as said before in this post, Hawaii is expensive. Cruise to me sounds more exciting (meaning the itinerary), plus you have the advantage (IMO) of not having to think about where you'll be eating. Food on cruises is plentiful, ususally great (I've heard Princess is top-of-the-line). I'd pick the cruise.

I think I would do the cruise too. It's Tahiti, you might never be able to get a chance like this again. Don't worry about the food....I've been on a bunch of cruises and have always been pleased with the food.

i would say hawaii..im the type that likes to relax..hawaii is so laid back though i dont know about taiti but it sounds like you're going to be running around there...and only getting 1/2 days you wont be able to see anything. hawaii was beautiful we went to Oahu they have many beaches, most of the time we werre the only ones on the beach. Maui is also beauiful.
this is just my opinion either way you are sure to have a great time!

I would be torn b/w the two as well, it took me forever to decide b/w Aruba or Hawaii...and now we're doing Disney and the Bahamas (not in that order).. go figure.. BUT.. I have a friend that went to Tahiti on her honeymoon and she said it was the most amazing thing. Her pictures are so awsome..I would say go with the Thaiti cruise!!! Good Luck

im not a fan of cruises, but i still say TAHITI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i would so LOVE to go there and stay in one of those over water bungalows!!

I agree-- the cruise sounds a little rushed like every 5 hours you'd be getting on or off the boat, you might want to just relax and spend more 'down' time exploring one stationary place every 2 or 3 days as opposed to every half a day, jmo.
