HM possibility...

We just checked FH's AMEX points and we can stay in Waikiki for 9 days and 8 nights for free!!!! Is Waikiki worth it???

And if I wanted to add another 4 days on a different island what would you recemmend?

This HM planning has been a nightmare!!!!

that's awesome ... i've never been there but from what i hear, Waikiki is similar to NYC ... it's a big 'party town' ... if you like that sort of thing, then 8 days there would be great ... otherwise, i'd suggest another island as well.

there are cruises from waikiki to all other islands ... maybe you can just get the flight free from amex, and then pay for a cruise?

I hate to say it, but Waikiki is definitely not worth it for 8 days. Honestly, Honolulu is a giant city, you kind of feel like you can be anywhere in Florida. Its nice, but after 3 or 4 days, you could definitely get bored. Dh and I were there for 2 days and that was more then enough for us. If you want more details feel free to FM me.

eta: forgot about the other islands, if you can do another island without a doubt MAUI!!! Its amazing and worth every penny.

umm how long can you get off?
can you go for like 4-5 days and then take a cruise?

I can take two weeks after the wedding...

I should see if they offer any other options... we've never done a cruise so I'm nervous for the first time to be on the HM if we end up not being good 'at sea'

Christine can you FM me your trip info???????

If you're more of an active vacationer, go to Maui. There are lots of activities there.
If you just want to kick back and chill, Kauai is amazing. It's slow and just gorgeous.
