We still have to, but I think it is worth it if you are spending a lot of money

Re: HM question... did you...
I didnt because I booked directly through the hotel and I can cancel up to 7 days before God forbid theres something going on. and aireface you can always change they just charge you a change fee
but if your using a site like orbitz-I would def get insurance!!

The bigger issue isn't even the money, it is if something happens to one of you when you are gone. Since we will be gone for almost a month, this was important

Re: HM question... did you...
YES and unfortunately we used it
We had to go to the ER our last day in Aruba due to me developing a mini blood clot in my calf which was caused by a combo of flying for 5 hrs without moving (i was passed out), being on BC and having my sprained ankle still wrapped cutting off blood flow.
i have to submit the ER bill to my regular insurance and what they dont cover the travel insurance will pick it up. they are also picking up the cost of the hotel room we had to book that night due to missing our flight

we did. It was only like an extra $100, on a trip costing over 7k. Seems worth (not to mention i am a VERY NERVOUS traveler)

Yes, but not through the travel agent. We did it through our credit card company and it was cheaper! Worth it for a few hundred (depending on the cost of your trip)

Re: HM question... did you...
we did!
2 years ago we had a trip to DR booked, and a few months before we were in a really bad motorcylce accident and couldn't make our trip. Thankfully we had the insurance and didn't get screwed by losing our money. The hotel was cancelled..and the airfare we got a credit and did not have to pay any fees. We booked that through expedia, and our HM. It's worth the extra money, because IF something happens you will end up spending more
