There is not a single all inclusive resort in all of Hawaii? Thats what a travel agent told me today, but i found it hard to believe. I thought I'd check with the real experts

From what I heard also, it doesn't make sense for Hawaii.
All inclusives work great in the carriben because you don't need to leave your resort - you have the beach and all the activities right there. Many of the carribean islands don't have too much to offer outside of the resorts.
However with Hawaii, a big reason people go there is to explore the islands and see the culture of Hawaii- go to different beaches (few resorts have soft sand beaches because there are only certain spots on the islands with soft sand beaches) so therefore most people don't stay at their resorts on Hawaii and wouldn't want to.
Made sense when my travel agent explained it to me like that.

From what Ive heard there are none....ive been to maui and oahu , and AI's in different countires, and i think AI's are alot better, Hawaii is beautiful, but you get a lot more things at AI's.

Re: HM question-is this really true?
they had that option MANY years ago like almost ten yrs it just didn't work out bc there are so many restuarants to choose from ...some deluxe properties over meal plans like breakfast and dinner...but not All Inclusive!

Re: HM question-is this really true?
hey....thats what I heard....because it's so damn pricey....and SO....popular, that it's not really in their best interest to go 'all inclusive' ....I think the all inclusive price would scare people away..... But...if you need any hotel recommendations....give me a jingle.
