We went into the HM booking wanting 1st class but we went with Aruba and the flight is relatively short (oppsosed to hawaii or further).. and the price diff. was 4 k.. (price of our hotel for 10 days).. so we just s*cked it up and went with coach... hopefully when we get there we can use miles to upgrade or something.. but won't knwo till day of the hotel is 1st class all the way so i can deal with 4.5 hours of coach hehe

BOOKING COACH, BUT WILL ASK FOR AN UPGRADE BECAUSE WE JUST GOT MARRIED AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS.

we're flying coach to Hawaii, i've done it before, it wasn't terrible.
I'm saving that money for better things on the islands.

I'm not sure, probably coach I rather spend the money on the best suite than first class.

We lucked out !!! We flew coach the way there, on the way home, we were sitting in the airport and they called us up and said out flight was overbooked but they had a direct flight back to Charlotte (we originally were going to have a stop over in Atlanta). We jumped on the direct flight and they put us in first class.....It was awesome !!!

I will be flying first class... we get the free first class from my job!
I am trying to work something out like this with my company too
If not we still maybe able to go FC bc we have a ton of miles with American and Delta. We travel a lot for work so I guess this is one of the benefits.

We would love to fly first, but it is so expensive. I am thinking maybe business - although still expensive, it is less expensive and still great!!

i guess we could spend the money on first class if we really wanted to but IDK, since i hate flying SO much and i have such anxiety-- maybe it would be a waste b/c i wouldn't even enjoy it-- i spend about 99.99% of the flight with my eyes closed, fists clenched or praying the rosary... so i don't think we would really get the 'full value' out of it-- not even FH, b/c i'm usually grabbing onto him for dear life.

We will probably fly first class. Matt needs the leg room being he is 6'6 and he loves the free drinks

I looked up first class tickets to australia just for kicks, and it was 16K round trip, a TICKET... that would be $32,000 just for me and Fh to get there and back! So, coach.
That will teach us for going so far We are going to start getting into planning soon - I'll share everything I learn

I would love to fly first class but we'll have to see what the difference in price is because I have a feeling we'll be counting our pennies at that point
