Ok, I sent my deposit in to one of my vendors and got a contract mailed to me that I'm supposed to sign and send back.
However, there are three lines at the bottom: one for price, one for balance paid and one for total due. The only line that's filled out is my deposit!
What do I do here? Should I just write in the price we'd discussed (which also worries me bc I've gotten two different prices and I don't have either one in writing.) I REALLY don't want to send it back blank bc I feel like then they could just put any amount in and I'd be screwed. HELPPP!

Re: Hmm I don't know what to do here.
dont sign it and request one with the total that they discussed with you
they could change it on you after you sign a contract.
i mean i hate to sound cynical but these places are all about making a buck sometimes even if they seem they are out for your best interest.

I would call them and ask for a new one with the correct amount written in.... tell them you wont sign it until it is completely filled the way it should... you dont want them screwing you and making you pay a different amount than you discussed....

Re: Hmm I don't know what to do here.
i had a smiliar situation with my eparty. i emailed the vendor asking if i could write in the amount and they said yes and they also re-stated the amount in the email.
in the end, there were no issues with the contract. granted this was just an eparty.
to be safe, i would request a new contract.
this vendor wouldnt happen to be a dj would it? just curious if its the same one!

Exactly! I feel like I've heard so many horror stories, that's what I was worried about.

i would write it in and then initial next to it and call and have them initial next to it too ( you can probably fax it over to them )
