I think you can wear a cathedral with that dress. I wore one and I had a long train on my dress.

you posted a pic of a veil you like earlier (back of the head?) and if you want a cathedral how would you do it? wear no veil at reception?

wacky- I wore a cathedral during ceremony and park pics after...then for reception I took it off.....

some girls wear 3. cathedral at church and blusher...and then fingertip for reception.

it's a veil that's 108' long.

As far as I know, it doesn't go against any rule of etiquette to keep your veil on all night. That's a matter of personal choice.
I didn't keep my cathedral on all night, but I still wore a veil the entire evening.

I think a cathedral veil would look fabulous with your dress, but I don't think that you'd want to keep it on for the reception. I had one for my ceremony and it's A LOT of fabric.
I had to carry it around on my arm, when I let it fall, people were stepping on it (thus, tugging at the top of my hair at times) so it's really not functional for an all nighter. But for a ceremony, there's nothing that looks more 'bridey' than a long, flowing veil.
