I don't want to sound like a complainer, but I am a little down because I feel I am not putting together a successful GTG. Granted I know there are people who cannot come for good reasons and I appreciate all the people who will be attending, but I can't help being disappointed.

Yes this is regarding the GTG in Queens next week. I know its silly but I can't help feeling bad. I almost feel no one wants to come to Queens. Is that the problem? I know some people don't like to drive to Queens.

I guess. I think for now on, I am going to be a guest and not plan a GTG. I am just a bit too sensitive. (I know I shouldn't be, but I do get like that sometimes).

get a group of like 5 or 6 people and plan with them
the smaller the crowd the easier it is
don't try to get the whole board to come
that's how our little group was formed
now we're best friends and it makes planning things really easy

like Violet, big groups dont work for me. Plus most of the time the timing is off. But Ive been dying to meet some of the girls on here. I guess that might be one reason I have my son with me besides not having someone to watch him.

Honestly I could come to all the gtg I would, since I would love to meet all of you but unfortunately I live in the bronx, I have a baby and I don't have a car. maybe once on the weekend or something And I will leave her with my husband.

I think you're doing a great job. It's very difficult to coordinate an event with conflicting schedules, locations, finding a place that's agreeable to everyone, etc. I know Queens is a bit far (and intimidating) to me. I'm not too familiar with it.
