you know...I just saw a magazine about engagement and 'things to do before you get engaged'. Honestly...I found it silly. OF coarse women hope for the day the man they love proposes to them...but planning it out and buying magazines about it and researching it in advance? doesn't that take away from the excitement and the 'special moment' factor?

I agree with you till I found out that this board is mostly for the guys. Then it all made sense to me. I'm going to tell all my guy friends.

ETA: MOG can start planning for the engagement party if they know their son is going to propose. but that's assuming the girl says yes.

So true! They are just plain nasty! I went on the knot boards one day and was curious to see what they were chatting about on that board and they were just tearing each other apart! It was awful!!!

I just checked out the Knot message board for not yet engaged girls and oh my GOD you girls weren't kidding, I can't believe how outright mean they are. I don't know why anyone would want to post on their given the horrible responses they get.
