Just got home a was watching a re-run of Platinum weddings and now i am depresed....why cant I win the lotto!!!

I feel your pain! That's why I made it a personal rule not to watch that show anymore.

I watch that show, covet the party, but then I just say to myself.....

'Flowers die, lace can rip, but my vows are forever'

then I feel so much better. Their weddings are beautiful, but they will never compare to my personal vows :)

Some of those girls pay so much $$$ and the wedding is so NOT what I would want. YUCK! One girl paid thousands on her dress and it was bleh!
Just watch Bridezillas that show always makes me feel better! Hahaha!

Funny someone got me a bunch of scratch offs from xmas and I threw them in my bridal bag. Was cleaning and reorganizing today and found them. Made FH go and get some lotto and mega millions. Wish me luck!!

Ya know. I used to be like that too about platinum weddings. I wish I had that kind of money. But if you think about it, some of those weddings are so ridiculously overdone. I just think they go out of control with all those crystals and stuff. Plus, here on long island we don't have to outsource for every little thing. Our halls include so much. AND...no where do they have cocktail hours like long island!! And all that money they paid for the food...the portions are always so small. I'm excited about my wedding because we are gonna have lots and lots of food and its gonna be beautiful without being overdone. So don't be depressed by Platinum Weddings. Our weddings are gonna be sooooo much better
