Hmmm I just had a thought about the candle placecards

I wonder......................this may be far fetched, if they make lables BIG enough to wrap around them. That would be less work, they would stick right around the votive holder. Hmmmmmmmm
What do you all think about that idea?
I think my sister told me they make label sheets that you can cut to your specifications too.

Liz they do..

I had labels made for my E party favors and they were big enuff to rap around the candle and I cut them down....

Check staples!

Liz,

I contacted Stef about that, I had the same idea a few weeks ago.... she said it probably wouldn't work properly... but she did suggest to make a sample just in case.... she said you can probably see the lines of the lable and the lable probably won't lay flush against the holder... not to burst your bubble though! Definitly try it out! I'd like to know how it worked out!

OH, one more thing, I'm thinking would the stickiness of the lable melt from the flame???

I would try a frosted votive to get the look of the vellum, although I think the frosted would need to be on the inside of the candle rather than the outside to make the label stick better? Heh, STICK!!!!

Let me know how it goes. If it works I just might have to try it!

Hmmm, I'll try this weekend for a sample. I'm optimistic b/c Theresa already did it

I don't mind if it doesn't look like vellum, it will still look pretty all lit up, I think it should lay flat down b/c I'm thinking you could just start at one end and smooth it as you bring it around the votive. That way I don't need to tape anything

I'll let you all know on Sunday or Monday how it goes.

I had another thought as well- Stef probably already thought of it. But I have been trying to do something different for table numbers, but didnt want to name them. Since I am doing the placecandles, I think I am going to use a larger, thicker candle in a glass holder on each table and do the same effect for the table number as I did for the placecandles. Does that make sense? So 'Table 4' would be printed on the vellum and wrapped around the glass holder. what do you think of that?
