Hmmmm....what should I do...

Hmmmm....what should I do...

Okay, here's the deal, my old best-friend is the person who introduced me and my FH. We had a falling out years ago but became more friendly as years have passed, I really miss her and we talk every once in a while. I had thought about putting her in the wedding but I nor FH was 100% comfortable with that but I WOULD like to do something or purchase something special for her to present to her at the wedding because after all, if it weren't for her I would have never met my FH.

Is anyone else doing anything for the person that introduced you and your FH??

Any ideas??

hmmmmm, we found each other so no thought to this at all.

We met online - so short of asking a representative of Matchmaker.com to come to the wedding...nopers!

What about asking her to do a reading....or ooooooooooooooo....how about this...

When you are walking up the aisle - you have a single rose in your boquet and when you get to where she's sitting (tell her in advance to sit at the END of the pew) - hand it to her...and have the Priest announce why you're doing it!

My ex-boyfriend introduced me and FH... should I be getting him something?!

I think a card with something really nice written inside is perfect... it's personal, sentimental, and from the heart. There's no need to stress out or go crazy finding the perfect gift.

it's funny you say that because she's my FH's ex....

But we were like BEST BEST friends and I just feel like a card would be falling short of what I SHOULD do for the person who introduced me to my husband....if that makes any sense.

I really liked davenjess's idea with the rose...that was REALLY cute.....maybe I could do a variation of that. OH! what about giving her a corsage to wear?? Or is that stricly reserved for moms and grandmoms??

as always, thanks for the suggestions ladies

FH and I sort of met through my cousin (with the help of his wife) - and we always say we are so thankful for them. I was thinking maybe a slow dance dedicated to them or something like that.

I was actually going to suggest a crosage I don't think their is a rule that it is only reserved for mothers

do you plan on thanking your guests for coming at some point in the reception? if so, thank your guests and then thank her for introducing you two and give her a rose then?

I think it's really nice that you want to acknowledge her for introducing you. I introduced tewo friends of mine and when they got married I wasn't ackowledged .. it would have been nice to be!!!

I think asking her to do a reading or to thank her at the reception would be nice. I like the idea of giving her a rose at the ceremony, but I think it could disrupt the seriousness of it, especially if she's not seated on an aisle ... you don't want to be climbing over people to get to her and you also don't want to 'pass it down' to her.

i would ask her to do one of the readings so you can include her in your day without having her in the bridal party
