Hmph.
So, FMIL is totally jerking around FH and I.
It's been almost a year (![]()
) since we booked the RH (well, it will be a year in April) and she has yet to give us a guest list.
We spoke with her on Friday about it and she was suppossed to have it for him to pick up last night. He drove over there and....nada. Nothing. At. All.
Initially, she wanted to throw a separate reception. But for the past few months she's told us that she just wants it all done at our RH in one day. (It's Indian tradition to have two parties.)
Now she wants to hold a separate party. As of, um...yesterday.
So the Indian dresses I was so excited about last week? I'm guessing that it's not intended for me to wear that to the wedding at our RH.
I'll find that out tonight. However, while that might be her intention, I will somehow finagle that dress into MY closet and wear it at the wedding that FH and I, collectively with my parents, will be throwing.
I told FH that tonight I am going over there, with or without him (though he insists on being there) to speak with her. There's a new Head B!tch in Charge now.
The silver lining in this is that since she's been such a slow-@ss with giving us a list, I have added on a handful of you lovely LIW ladies. I initially wanted to do this, contingent on what his side of the list looked like. Oh well - you wait months and months to give me a list well....now I want to invite some of my favorite amateur wedding planners who will eat, drink and either be married already or almost married. Que cera cera!
