Hockey Widow

As I sit here in the apartment. alone with our two dogs, I wonder...

Is anyone else a hockey/football/baseball/basketball widow? Any season ticket holders wives? Anyone home alone for Valentine's Day? Sure hope not because it s*cks!

Another hockey widow here.. actually i was supposed to meet FH at the ranger game, but he called me at 4:40 just as I was about to get on the train and said 'turn on the TV, I think there's a problem at Penn Sta.' Just my luck, had my hair blown out, looked hot and NO TRAINS!!!

Ordered take-out Japanese and my poor sweetie is at the game alone because there was no one around to ask!!!

You'd probably be better off talking to my DH. I'm a big Ranger fan and he's the hockey widower!

Do you go to any games with him? If not, give it a shot! It's a lot of fun. I started going to games many years ago because my boyfriend at the time was a season ticket holder.

Where else can you eat greasy fries, drink overpriced beer and cheer for Alexei Kovalev (woo-hoo, he's back!)????

Just keep in mind, your never alone with two pooches. And when you're in love it's Valentine's Day everyday, right??

LOL, ok! I see how it is!
No, tomorrow is our Valentines Day. It's going to be Laurie Day, all day. Puppies are thrilled, I have been playing fetch with Maxie since
i came home. And yes, I heard about about some guy returning to the team. The guys went out to celebrate that night...

I am normally a hockey widow 4-5x a week if he isn't at the game or watching the islander games he's playing hockey! I just can't win.. I love to watch him play but not OUTSIDE in 10 degree weather..

SS2002 - i AM a big hockey fan. We (he) have season tickets. People laugh when they ask 'so any big plans for Valentine's day?' and I say 'actually we're going to the Garden for a hockey game'. They look at me like they feel sorry for me..but we really enjoy it!

Re: Hockey Widow

We watch the games together at home or go to the games together.
Football he can watch by himself. I have no interest in that.Baseball, we like different teams and root against each other.

Re: Hockey Widow

It didn't turn out to badly after all! He was home by 10.00ish and he is already up, so today is our Valentine's Day!

Another hockey widow here. I'm trying to learn the game (after 8 years!!) so we can watch together but for me its' snoozeville unless I'm there watching the game. I wish I could get into it.

Re: Hockey Widow

Only ten home games left!!! YAY! We are going to watch an away game together tonight. It's not bad watching it, I actually enjoy it alot. But I don't like it enough to just turn it on and watch it while he is at the game.

Re: Hockey Widow

I'm a hockey/football, widow, and a World Series widow too (baseball is not a necessity until the end of the season).
Most days it doesn't bother me, but every once in a while I feel like screaming 'I'M HERE TOO!! PAY ATTENTION TO MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE'

Re: Hockey Widow

brooke, LOL, I've spent several Valentine's days at MSG

Haven't been to a game all season!!

Does that guy (Larry?) in the blue seats still dance during a time out? We used to sit right below him.

I really, really hope they make the playoffs this year-for a change!
