My DH is a huge Islander fan and is so p!ssed that there is no season this year. He told me that they have practices you can go to or that in connecticut by the ferries there is an ice rink where minor league islander players play. He has mentioned that he wants to go see them and I was thinking of somehow for Christmas/Hanukkah to arrange this but don't know how to go about it.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? I tried google searches but not the right ones.

Re: Hocky present help needed!
You can go see the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, which is the Islanders minor league team. We're going to a game in December. You can get tickets on Ticketmaster.
It's in Bridgeport, CT. Let me know if you need more help

Re: Hocky present help needed!
I just went last week. You can buy packages where you get a ferry ticket and a ticket to the game for 25.00. (And they are not the crappy seats you would get at the coliseum for 25.00 - we were about 10 rows from the ice.)
If you arent going to make a day of it in CT; I strongly recommend getting the 25.00 package thru the Port Jeff Ferry. I tried calling the PJ ferry a couple of times to get some detailed info - they seemed a bit confused. One person said that the game I wanted was not available for the package; but the next person I spoke to did say it was available. We just went and they had the package available. If the 25.00 package is not available, they have a 15.00 walk on ferry ticket where you have to buy the hockey ticket at the arena. (still cheap!!) But I have a feeling that the 25.00 ticket package is for any and all games.
BTW, if your husband is an Islander season ticket holder they are giving away a free set of Soundtiger tickets; we just got a letter in the mail yesterday.
WOW! Thanks guys! You are the greatest! I am definately looking into it. The sound tigers was the team I was thinking about but couldn't remember the name.
