I dont know what it is with me, but I'm just not in the mood for Christmas this year . Usually at this time, I finished my Christmas shopping, I mailed out all of my Christmas cards and Im excited. This year, I look out my window & I see slush/snow, rain, cold.. I havent even began Christmas shopping, and Im feeling down . I really think I have the holiday blues. Is anyone else feeling this way? I have absolutely NO AMBITION this year.

I am right there with you! I am usually done with my shopping & the cards in the mail! I am so far behind right now!
Since we put got our tree last weekend & I finished decorating it, I am starting to get in the mood but still have no motivation to get moving!!

me too...I think I am just void of energy...this wedding has taken it out of me. Xmas just isn't a priority when there still seems to be so much to do for the wedding

Babes I am right here with you. I am just soooo not in the mood for x-mas this year...I feel kind of depressed...I dont know...we're supposed to go and get our tree today and decorate it God knows when since I've been working like a maniac and I havent seen Mike for 3 days except for in bed...I kiss him goodnight and he kisses me good morning...its just been very stressful, we're keeping it really low with the gifts and all...I guess bc the wedding is only 9 months away and we basically did squat...

I feel the same way. I think it is because I've always shopped like a maniac for Christmas & this year I just can't do it. I went to the mall last weekend & left after an hour. I have a few gifts, but I just don't feel like doing it.
Mike & I are basically doing small gifts this year & it is just not fun.
I am sure next year will be better when money is not really an issue.

me too! I am such an Xmas person too - I think I have just been really stressed about $$$ so buying alot of Xmas presents (usually one of my fav activities) is more stressful than fun. Hopefully I will get more into it as it gets closer

That's totally me too!! I just have no motivation. I'm usually done shopping by now or at least close to it. I've gotten a few gifts but there's still so much to do. I haven't even bought Xmas cards and we're just putting our tree up this weekend. Normally I love Xmas, but this year I just want to focus on the wedding. And not having any $$ doesn't help. Can't we just skip it this year?

I feel the same exact way. I think it is because of the stress of the up comming wedding. Finacially I can't afford Christmas this year. I feel very depressed. I just calculated our budget and relized I need to get a second job.

I thought I was the only one feeling this way!!!! Usually I'm like a little kid, all antsy and can't wait for x-mas. I think I'm feeling this way because, I'm all stressed about money and not being able to do my 'normal' x-mas stuff.

I feel the same way too. Especially because we are moving into a new place in 2 weeks, and all of our money is going toward the move and all the repairs we need to make to the new place. There is no money left over for presents, and it's too chaotic to have a celebration at my house. There is always next year!

Awww, Jannie, feeling that way s*cks!! Maybe you could try to do something to get you in the holiday spirtit? Like blast Christmas music and sing as loud as you can on your drive home from work today? Or wear a Santa hat? OR watch A Christmas story and Elf!!
