Just wanted to get a sense of how everyone else handles the stress of holiday shopping...

Re: Holiday Gift Ideas
Our family always makes a wish list of what we'd like from really expensive items to really cheap. Makes it alot easier. : )

Re: Holiday Gift Ideas
I dont have a big family so that makes it a lot easier.
I ask early on (like now) what do they want. Usually, i get zero help there but i figure if there is something someone really wants, they will pipe up then.
Then i start hunting around November. Im really particular about gifts so i rarely find something that i buy right away. I usually have a few ideas and then decide on the best one with little time to spare.
Im the kind of person who could never buy a gift in July..i have to be shopping up until the last minute b/c i always feel that there might be something perfect out there.

Speaking of the holidays, can you believe there are 66 days left till Christmas

NO! I cannot believe that's all that is left until Christmas! I am just happy that I am almost finished buying my gifts for my in-laws, and then I need to start my family and then my hubby and son! I don't know why, I just feel I have to get this DONE early this year - I want to enjoy the season with Paul and decorate our house, and show him all these things that he was too little for last year.

Re: Holiday Gift Ideas
I start shopping early and this year with the baby coming I started a lot earlier than usual. I try to remember what people have mentioned throughout the year. For instance at a holiday dinner months ago my SIL said to me 'You have such pretty serving spoons. I just have these plastic things' so a few months later when I was browsing in the outlets I got her a silver serving set.
But sometimes I just have to try to find something since people like my dad have what they want/need and if they don't, often they just go out and buy it for themselves.
Of course, I do keep the gifts within certain budgets too. And with the baby coming this year, my budget is even more important.
