Some of my OOT's are complaining my block rate at LaQuinta is too high (its $149 a night). The Holiday Inn has standard rooms for like $119, so I was thinking of blocking there for them.
What do you guys think? Are there any other cheaper but decent hotels over there? I already have a block at Hilton Garden Inn, but that ones $159..so they wont go for that one!

If they want to complain about how high it is, let them book their own room someplace else. Honestly, you cannot worry about everyone. You will go fkning insane.

The holiday inn is pretty basic that's where I have a block in Oct. but my rate is $149. If you got $119 that's a great price. If I were you I would just inform people of the choice of hotels,rates and let them make their own decisions. With my save the date I listed my block but also gave list of other hotels in the area.

Dont know about the HOliday Inn but I booked at the Hampton Inn Jericho-Westbury. It's brand new and they gave me a good rate

Thanks ladies!!!! I think I might let them fend for themselves on this one! Its all FH's family...they're up my a$$ about everything..from airfare...rental cars....hotels. Seriously, plan it yourself or dont come! Sheesh!
