I cant find the original post, but I thought I would let you all know what happened.
I could really kill someone right now!!
I went the the bank today and got my replacement card, told them what happened, blah blah. They gave me the phone # of the fraud dept. OK so I call. They have only ONE record of a purchase at this store (the one that I did make). When I looked online on monday and discovered the 'fraudulant purchase' I called the customer care line we ALL saw that there were TWO purchases from the same store. What happened? While the purchases were pending, the bank mistakenly posted both purchases as from the same store, when in fact one of them was a purchase I made from a different store. I didnt even think to check the amounts of the other reciepts I had since it said on my online account AND was told by the customer care center that both purchases were in fact by the same store.
So now I look like a fraud and a crazy person! I swear Im not!

Re: Holiday Shoppers beware *UPDATED*
I am glad everything worked out!!!
I am sure things like that happen all the time and they made the mistake by posting the wrong store - if the posted the correct store online then you wouldn't have been concerned.

LOL...OMG, I can't believe that! But the bright side is, no one did anything fraudulent with your account.
It was the banks mistake, not yours...but it was aggrivation none the less...
DH thought I was crazy last night...b/c I kept saying that we shouldn't use our check card anymore... I'm not telling him about this update

Re: Holiday Shoppers beware *UPDATED*
I use Fleet. I called the store this morning and told them what happened and the manager was very nice (I had also spoken to her the other day). She was understanding, she was worried that one of her employees would do this, and she also said that she had her card # stolen in the past, and she knows how that feels. I dont know how this could happen with the bank, but I know that I saw BOTH the dollar amounts and purchases that showed up on my online page said they were from the same store. Once the pending debit went through, the correct store was listed. I am glad that this is over, and I am sorry if I upset anyone. Even though I was lucky, there are others out there who are not so lucky, and I dont think anyone wants thier account drained! Thanks ladies for listening!
