Re: holiday shopping
I went out Friday afternoon to target and BJs and the lines were empty. The items I wanted werent there but it was empty. On the way home I saw TOYS R US parking lot packed. But then again, there is a movie theater there too. so who knows.
All I know is all stores are sold out of the one toy I want, for my son.

Re: holiday shopping
I heard walmart did not do promos for black friday and becuase of that they were not busy and didnt meet their expectations for the holiday shoppings month. I think alot of people are buying on line. did you try toys r us or target.com for your sons toys? i know target gives free shipping for items over $25.

Re: holiday shopping
I did 85% of my shopping online this year. I can't bear to wait in the stores. The shipping $$$ is worth the time I save.

Re: holiday shopping
I'm not ready for christmas yet. I was in a couple of malls for things for my new apartment & they weren't too bad. Sears had a long line. Target had all the registers open so there were hardly any lines.
I will probably shop online mostly. In fact I have to do that right now, for mom's birthday!

Same here...plus a lot of the stores have shipping specials and discounts. I really think it would have cost me more money plus time if I went to the stores. Last night, I ordered $330 worth of gifts with shipping and tax and paid more like $200

i went to toys-r-us in times sq on friday and it was a madhouse. it was fun to look around and i got some good ideas, but i'll actually be buying the toys online. this way i can ship them to my mom's house and not have to tote them out there on the lirr christmas day the only other shopping i have to do will hopefully be completed at macy's on wed. can't wait to be done!

I got some stuff at the Estee Lauder warehouse sale last week. I didn'r go shopping this weekend though. I have no patience with crowds and lines.

Re: holiday shopping
I still can't believe people actually get out at 5:30a.m. to go shopping! But I did venture out to Kohls- they didn't have what I wanted - but the lines were no longer than usual - and they extended the early bird prices until 2 pm - which I was very happy about!

Re: holiday shopping
I am kicking myself cause that is where I saw the leapster at kohls and Friday morning sale it would have been 89.99 instead of the 119.99. Now I can not find it anywhere

Re: holiday shopping
Did not go out at all this weekend. Just hung out with friends and around the house. I will shop this week and next weekend. I couldn't bear to fight the crowds, wait on line, find a parking space this weekend so I stayed in.
