Does anyone or has anyone just started any holiday (Easter) traditions with FH?
MY FH is Jewish but last year we spent night before Easter dying eggs with our names on them and putting on cute decals and plan to do it this year as well. I alwasy kid with him that he does it so I make him his latkes and kugel for passover- yes he likes latkes for passover and Hanukkah lol
I even lucked out and woke up to an Easter basket from him w/ my favorites: Peeps

Re: Holiday Traditions with FH???
I like this topic! FH and I have traditions for every holiday. For Halloween, you go Pumpkin Picking and enjoy the Haunted House with our friends. For Thanksgiving, we alternate and do one year at his Parent's house and one year at my Sister's house. For Christmas, we have a tradition of going to Hicks Nursery and looking at all the decorations and also go to EAB Plaza. We enjoy decorating the tree together and watch holiday movies. I love it! For the Eve, it's at my Parents and for X-Mas Day it is at his Parent's. For Easter, it's always dinner at his Parent's and dessert and usually ends up being more dinner at my sister's house. We always try to split it up and be equal with both families. I love spending all the Holidays with FH- it makes them so special!

Every year we've dyed eggs but this year we were too busy with the party so we didn't. Maybe we'll do it after Easter.

Re: Holiday Traditions with FH???
As of yet the only holiday tradition we have is we bake a TON of goodies together x-mas eve. I really want to start doing other ones!
OK you girls have inspired me! I am going to buy those little plastic eggs and get FH a bunch of little goodies and send him on a hunt tomorrow!!
What else could we do for other holidays?

I think that's awesome! Great idea - although I don't think FH will be up to it. I am jewish and eventhough my step family celebrates Easter and so do I (I'm not very religious) FH is not very into Easter as one of the 'big' holidays. He's such a brat b/c its 'tax season' and hes an accontant.
I wanna make dyed eggs and play with peeps! I made the cutest cupcakes last year.

Re: Holiday Traditions with FH???
We have holiday traditions but neither of us are very religious. My parents are 2 different religions (Catholic and Jewish) so I was raised with no religion but celebrated all of the holidays. FH was raised Catholic but his beliefs are different now. I hope to figure out what we will do when we have children one day. We both have our beliefs and I don't necessarily want to be part of an organized religion but I don't know how I will feel when I have kids. Anyway, back to the holidays! Haha. Every Thanksgiving we have an early dinner at my house, then a late dinner at his house, then dessert at his grandparents' house. We are pigs, huh? We usually go see the tree in the city every year at Christmastime but we weren't able to this past year because I was working all the time and was finishing up school at the same time. He always comes to my house for Hannukah dinner when my dad makes his latkes. Tomorrow, my mom is doing an Easter brunch which is new but maybe we can make that a tradition because I am pretty excited for my mimosas tomorrow morning.
