Holiday Weekend Weddings

I am getting married on Columbus Day Sunday. I thought everyone had off on Monday but I am finding out they don't. Now I am afraid people aren't going want to say late and have fun. I don't think I have ever been to a SUnday wedding...has anyone? Was it quiet and did it empy out early.

You know your guests better than any of us, so hopefully they will want to be there and will stay the entire time.

I know someone who is having their wedding on Columbus Day so dont feel too worried.
THe people who you want to be there will make arrangements to be there.

Honestly, don't worry about it. I know it's easier for me to say that (and trust me, if I were in your shoes I would wonder also), but it's sooooo true that those who want to be there WILL be there.

Our best man got married last year ON Monday, Memorial Day. Guess what, he had everyone there! And besides, I've heard of tons of Sunday weddings - it's NOT as uncommon as a Monday or Thursday wedding.

I'm getting married on a Sunday and so far, most of the people we invited are coming. Alot of them are even staying over night in the hotel. So, I dont think you need to worry about your guests no coming or not really partying just because its on a sunday. Also, although not everyone gets off on Columbus day -- a lot of people do. and many people might just decide to make it a 3-day weekend and take off.

I got married the sunday of PResidents day weekend! At night!

I also got married sunday presidents weekend. I thought everyone would be off the next but some weren't. Many who weren't off took off. The others stayed till the end partying anyway!
