Is it okay to get a hollow to hem measurement from a seamstress that has never seen the dress? i want to order the dress from Rkbridal, but i need this measurement (and under RKbridal's no frills program they wont take your measurements). Does anyone know?

It's fine to get a hollow to hem from the seamstress, but make sure you have the shoes you are going to wear and take into account the poofiness of your slip.

There was a post about this last week. I think divabride mentioned her experience. It really needs to be exact. Just be careful if you tend to need a lot of alterations or are not a common proportional dress size.
