Can you verify with our insurance broker what the eligibility requirements are for long and short term disability? specifically do they need to participate in our other benefit package (medical & dental) in order to be eligible??

followed by a miserable phone call. 'Ummmmm, did you get my email?' 'Yes- they are riderson our dental, meaning if you have dental, you have those extra benefits'.

Correct- if you have dental, you have all the extra coverage that we pay for- decent stuff, too.

Okay

I am stupid. I wouldn't have really understood the whole 'riders on dental' thing. But her response was as sholish. I would have written back:

'Hey Naun.. I know this sounds stupid, but can you explain to me in non insurance terms.. because I am not getting it.'

She just didn't want to admit that she is a dumb-azz like me.

I am impressed that you are super smart.

I just wanted to say yes to that question.

I have no idea what a rider is in the context of insurance, etc.

I do know that on J-Lo's concert rider she requires the whole room backstage be white. Or something like that.

If I were your boss (which I sometimes am) I would have worded my response differently. It does come across slightly persnickety.

Yes- she's a beeyotch, and her every day actions and every phone call reflects that- so this just supported it.
At least my boss works in Florida.
