HOLY EYELINER BATMAN!

I just had a MAC trial today and it was um.... different!?!?!?! I am not used to this heavy eyeliner look on my bottom lashes. However, I did purchase all the colors and am going to try this look at home but a little more balanced between top and bottom eyeliners. Also, there's no mascara on the eyelashes (falsies!) since I didn't want to gunk them up before the BIG day. Any suggestions would be helpful - but look at the colors - are they okay? Bring out the baby blues?

i love the colors!!! i think it def makes ur eyes pop... but agree with you the bottom liner is a lil too heavy for my taste and i would have liked it more if it wasnt so wingy at the corners

i agree with the bottom eyeliner part, just a little less. Also, with the smokey eye, when i looked at the first pic, i thought there was shadow just on the end of your eyes, the eyeshadow is too much on the crease so when your eyes are opened you cant tell. Its supposed to go a little higher on the bone, just shadowing the top of it a bit and then going down. Hope that made sense lol

Its cool makeup and most of the employees at mac do their makeup just like that but i don't think its very bridal looking (JMO) it's not fresh and glowing. Everyone does have their personal taste so i'm not trying to insult anyone!

no shade higher on the crease, depending on your eye shape if its lined RIGHT on the crease wont show as much. Ill see if i can find a pic of what im talking about.

ok not sure if this is the best pic but should do. Ok see the top part of her eye make up, its above the crease of her eye so you see the whole top part of her eye make up very well.

I agree with Espo about the shadowing, but I do love the colors! I think it really brings out your eyes.

i agree as well, the effect would be much nicer if the smoky shadowing is done right

Thanks girls! I do like the colors she used, but I am definitely changing the application technique - Also, she LOADED the mineral powder on - when I walked in, I had my Chanel Pro Lumiere foundation on which had a nice dewey look. I was like WOAH with all this powder! *choke* *cough* *choke*

I AM JUST CRAZY FOR NOT HIRING SOMEONE, right? Hmmmm... By now it's become an OBSESSION OF mine! I WILL GET IT RIGHT!!! MWAHH AHH AHH!

just dont go on too many trials to see how they do it or spend too much buying make up to test it out bc in the end you might end up paying the same as having someone do it.

But if its something you really want to do then hey go for it if its coming out well. Youtube has great tutorials where you can watch them doing it and they are very detailed and really explain it.

Honestly, I think your make-up looked best when YOU did it. This is too dark for you...when you did your own make-up you looked so much more natural and your eyes looked so beautiful. JMO

Thanks WinterBride10! I am going to come back with these colors and MY application. We'll see what happens. It's SOOOO annoying how every makeup artist / salesperson has their own opinion of what looks best. I'm just gonna throw a paper bag over my head at this point! LOL

I'm actually fan of the heavier bottom liner (but this is my personal style.)

I think it looks good, however, I'm noticing on the lid the spot where it goes from the lighter color to the darker color. I think it could be blended a little bit better, the line looks too harsh to me. JMHO

i love the colors, as far as the black liner, you can buy that white liner that makes your eyes pop even more. I am sure you will love it. Ask one of the MAC sales girls (I don't know the name of it). My MAC artist used it for my wedding and I loved it!
