Holy Heartburn !

Ouch. The pain. Anyone have constant heartburn like me??

My FH does......I feel so bad everytime he does get it. He lives on the purple pill!!

I just went blank w/the name, sorry...

I feel for you!!! (even though I dont know know what it feels like).

I hear baking soda, a tsp in some water...1/2 glass, drink it..it helps. Sounds gross..I know.

i have acid reflux so yeah I have it all the time. i'm on aciphex it helps a lot

Have you been to a doctor??? Have you tried Pepcid?? Frequent heart burn is a sign of acid reflux...I was having it last year due to stress! If its really persistant you should see a Dr.

I have had severe heartburn and was on Nexium (the purple pill). That really works wonders!!!!

I also found drinking seltzer helped me.

Me too - I hate it. I really should go see the doctor about it... just another thing to add to my ever growing to do list.

Also don't lay down immediately after eating and don't eat late at night. Avoid anything acidic especially tomato sauce. And try and sleep proped up I feel for you!

Is this ever the post for me!!!

I've had pretty bad acid reflux for over 2 years now. I was on Nexium for a while, and now I'm on Pepcid. It helps a lot, but I definitely do still have my episodes.
If you suddenly get really bad heartburn out of nowhere and nothing you do helps it, try to get a prescription for something called NuLev. It's actually used for Iritable Bowl Syndrome, butt it strengthens the Lower Esophagal Sphincter (the muscle in the stomach that lets acid flow up the esophagus) and you start to feel relief immediately after taking it, no joke.

Thanks! Ive yet to go to a doctor about this Its so bad sometimes. Im afraid hes going to tell me I have an ulcer or something.. Im always thinking the worst!

You know, I just learned recently that ulcers are caused by infections and can be completely cured with antibiotics. I read an article about it not too long ago.

At one point mine was really bad that I went to a gastroentrologist(sp?) and I had to get a test done where they stick a probe down your throat to check everything out. I'm not trying to get you scare you, I'm sorry if it sounds that way. It didn't hurt at ALL!!!!
Anyway, I had a start of an ulcer it was very small.

But, Nexium is the BEST!!!!

Go ASAP...some of the medicine can help tp reverse the damage of the liniing of the stomach
