I just got a quote for $250.00 for my hair and the same price for my make-up. To me that sounds nuts! The bridesmaids hair will be $65 and MOB $45. Is this reasonable?? It sounds crazy to me:-

It is a bit high for high (I think $175 is more reasonable) and very high for make up.
What kind of hair were you looking for? Maybe the style is driving up the price?

I didn't even specify...that is the price she charges for styling and makeup-total of $500!! I've seen that other people have used her when I did a search and I'm sure she does good work but my god, $250 is about $100 dollars more than other quotes I've gotten.

that sounds totally ridiculous. I was just in a wedding and we got everything done at Maximus, they charged my friend a little more because she was the bride but I think she payed 85.00 for the hair and her makeup was free because she spent 75.00 on makeup otherwise she would have had to pay the 75 or 100.00 I am not sure which it was.

I have seen make-up and hair prices like that from some people..like Maureen Pedala and Denise Venti but IMO they do amazing work. If you have the $$ and love it, why not? It's your wedding day. if you think you would be happy with a lot of people's work, get some trials done and you should be fine!
