HOLY TESTICLE TUESDAY! WHAT A SURPRISE I JUST GOT!

so every monday i do my all my finances and such at my office using my quicken program. i'm doing them today cause obviously yesterday was a holiday. so i went to reconcile my Amex card, as its time the statement comes out. well i noticed something kind of of odd. my credit line was WAAAAAAAAAAAY more than it should be. perhaps this is an error? so i just called them.....

nope--no error. they decided on the 20th to give me an additional 10K in credit!!!!!!!!! i don't know how to express how excited i am about this, cause FH and i have been so worried about paying the HM off in the next 20 days (when the balance is due)....and now we can, earn double skymiles for it, and then pay it off quick right after the wedding. everyone always laughs and makes fun of me for keeping EVERY SINGLE charge i make logged in a computer program with charts and shiiit for all my cards, but it's cause i KNOW how valuable credit is and it's paying off!

it's so crazy, that just when you think things are hopeless, something great happens!!!

FH and I are paying off the wedding ourselves.I got the rumor that some of us from my unit may be going back to Iraq in February (wedding:april) I was sitting here stressing on how to cut back on expenses if I must push the wedding fwd with short notice, when I read your blog. I dont do credit cards but after reading this I said I could make an exception. To make a long story short. I got a double digit limit with the lowest rate I've ever seen on a credit card. (Im an analyst). We're only going to have the loan for a month. But it took so much stress off, I called my FH in Japan and I could not hold back the tears.
