Me again with another question. I'm looking for a ball park figure for a home security system. I'm guessing these vary quite a bit too but any info. would be helpful.

We are in the process of having one installed. For 13 windows, 4 doors, 2 motion, 2 panels, 2 panics, and fire it cost about $1600-1800. There is also a monthly fee (maybe $15 a month).

We just contracted with Slomin's for a free alarm system, if you sign a contract for 5 years of monitoring ($25/month).

adt advertises a free system - i think a keypad and motion detector/ doors- with sign up for 2 years at like 35 a month-(840 for 2 years plus tax??) i guess windows would be an add on

Slomin's. However, it took them forever to install it. But since it was put in, I have no problems.
